Meet the Schleigers

Copy Pilot founders Michelle and David met and married in New York City, but native Oregonian David felt the call to return to the Pacific Northwest to raise his family (and Michelle quickly agreed!). They settled in North Portland, and quickly realized the need for printing and shipping services throughout the peninsula.

Copy Pilot started with the idea of bringing these much-needed services to the area. In a neighborhood where everyone knows your name, they landed in the perfect spot: halfway between the St. John’s Bridge and Interstate Avenue--right on Lombard St. The neighboring businesses and communities immediately welcomed Copy Pilot and it joined the neighborhood ecosystem of friendly and quality service. Within 5 years the business needed to relocate to a larger space to accommodate the clientele and expanded services--including showcasing work by local artists. 

Family friend (and marketing expert) Kevin Anspach designed Copy Pilot's logo by combining Michelle’s love of flying with a nod to the neighbors to the South – the University of Portland. With much love and respect to the community and neighboring businesses, Copy Pilot intends to continue serving North Portland for many years to come.
